Binge watching TV shows feels so commonplace, and easy these days it can be hard to remember when we had to wait all week for a new episode to air, and if you weren’t in front of a tv when it did you had to pray for it to be re-run.
Years ago I watched Murdoch Mysteries when a U.S. channel was airing it as The Artful Detective. I don’t recall if they stopped airing the show, or I stopped watching it, but when someone mentioned it was available to stream I fell in love with the characters and their world all over again.
The magic of solving crimes before DNA evidence, of imagining how some of our modern concepts were either invented or named is pure fun.

These characters grow and evolve… they deal with crisis of personal values and ethics, and come out more resolved than ever to stand for those without a voice.
I’m several seasons in… yeah, I decided to start over from the beginning, and the show is as much fun the second time as it was the first. I can’t wait to “get current” and start eagerly anticipating future seasons.
